About Us

Periculum Consult is a startup by its founder Myles Minnaar, an admitted attorney who practiced as an attorney for 4 years and thereafter introduced to risk management.  10 years later he has been in risk management positions in various industries at large corporates and medium sized enterprises in SA.

Starting as an compliance assistant in the financial industry, with his last role as a Group ESG Manager & Company Secretary at a large fishing and aquaculture investment firm, his risk management journey filled the following positions: Compliance Officer, Compliance Manager & Chief Risk Officer.

​

He has been awarded the 2016 Fishing Industry Risk Manager of the Year by the Institute of Risk Management SA, and 2024 he received the Best Legal and Risk Consulting Firm: Western Cape; and Most Dedicated Risk Management Consultant 2024.

He had his seat at the various companies Audit & Risk Committees, and the Social & Ethics Committees, and has filfulled various directorships on several company boards, and exco roles in industry related industrial bodies.
